Is that what you would call having numerous legal murals set up(probably by an agent of some sort) all around the city? and wheat pasting is not smashing anything especially when most of the gluing and pressing of paper is done by assistants(not that that is terrible, I understand the role of assistants for high demand artists). I’m sure he will post that horrible image of andre the giants face for years to come because its his business now. If he doesn’t go out and glue in ny then he might not sell that poster of Basquiat for thousands of dollars.
Also, I was not complaining, at all, I am just simply baffled as to how everyone can be so fooled by this one dimensional artist (he takes pictures of people that he thinks are cool, probably one that he found some where in a book or magazine and runs them through some design program, and then displays them as art or when he’s feeling ballsy will glue them to a building.) And not that it matters anyway but you can clearly see in that first picture that the poster was dissed by that splasher guy. Nevertheless we will go over who ever we want. We understand the consequences, the difference is that we will defend our selves and not cry when one of these “street artist” steps to us (like that would ever happen).
